Lunch
Grill Friday had a few new surprises again this week, including some beer brats and kabobs of chicken and veggies. I was all filled up by the time the kabobs came out, but the brats were good. Tasted a bit more sausagey than the usual brats we have here, but that’s far from a bad thing. Plus, there were some delicious Lofthouse cookies that basically tasted like cupcakes. I had the orange cream and key lime flavors, and have every intention to go back and scoop up a lemon flavored one in about five minutes.
Lunch
I passed on the big lunch outing to Bostone, opting for a slightly later trip to Men Tei. It’s been a while, but they remain unwavering in their dishes. It might be the same every single time as the years roll by, but at least it stays tasty. I had the pork cutlet with curry over rice, and it was done as well as I’ve ever seen them do it.
Lunch
In an effort to not eat anything fried or covered in cheese today, I went with a chicken shwarma salad from Café Jaffa, which only contains meat that’s slow-roasted in its own juices, and only has a light sprinkling of cheese. I can’t say that this was a victory so far as achieving my goals goes, but it was a pretty delicious meal.
Lunch
Some of the boys picked us out some delicious pizzas from Crazy Doughs today, which I was more than happy to partake in. I had some of that potato-topped stuff I like, as well as some nacho pizza that seemed to be all the rage. It was pretty tasty, with a good sort of jalepeño kick to it. I’ve been far more accepting of spicy foods these days. I hear that happens as you get older. I fee fine otherwise though. Maybe my mouth has progeria?
Lunch
I had the veggie version of an Adopted Luke from B.Good today in an effort to eat something semi-wholesome but still with some flavor to it. I was mildly thwarted here by the fact that the burger didn’t really taste like much of anything. At least not in particular. I don’t blame the meal so much as I blame the fact that I was slow in getting to it, only starting in on it once it had gotten cold and had more or less collected itself into a singular mass of foodstuffs, rather than the traditional multi-ingrdient strata of a typical burger. It was an interesting twist of toppings and physics, but necessarily for the best.
Lunch
Grill Friday returned once more today with Andy at the helm, bringing a little something extra to the table in the form of some boneless chicken breasts he marinated at home. His secret is apparently as simple as some Italian dressing and just enough mayonnaise to get it to cling to the chicken. Never would have guessed myself, but that’s what he says, and with something that tasty, why bother arguing?
Also, I had the privilege today to discover what a spoiled pickle tastes like. So that’s cool.
Lunch
There wasn’t too much interest in lunch today from the 5 or so people who’re at the office, so I decided to ride over to Anna’s for a burrito. I’ve gotta say, Anna’s is definitely my favorite venue for burritos in town. I’m not knockin’ the others, but Anna’s takes the cake. They’re quick, cheap, and thoroughly delicious. Today I treated myself to the beef tongue with extra salsa, and it was just about perfect.
